Purpose
Jet boats use impeller drives instead of exposed propellers — shallow draft, quick acceleration, and ability to run in rivers with debris. Popular on Western rivers and for beach launching. Not a standard sterndrive runabout.

- Shallow rivers, whitewater sections, and rocky streams
- Beach launching and surf-zone access
- Adventure and utility use with 4–8 passengers
- Intermediate boaters familiar with jet handling
